The Art of Anne Harriet Fish
Anne Harriet Fish (1890-1964) is among the artists associated with the Golden Age of Illustration.
The Anne Harriet Fish Collection at Spirit of the Ages includes art images from some of Fish's seminal work. As a
valuable reference resource, options are also provided for purchasing a range of gifts, including reproduction prints,
posters and greeting cards.
Fish was an English artist - specialising in a variety of media, including oil and watercolour. A number of her monotone
illustrations were published in magazines including Vanity Fair, Vogue and The Tatler. Fish is also known to have designed
for pottery.
While her illustrations were known for drawing from Art Nouveau influences, her suite for Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám - published in
1922 - is considered to be her masterwork. Her illustrations for the work include a suite of two-tone decorated text and 20 lavish
colour illustrations with applied ground highlights.
