Dulac's illustrations described as "Arabian Nights' Entertainments" are drawn from a suite of images shown at the

Edmund Dulac Memorial Exhibition at the Leicester Galleries in 1953. Those images were also published as a series in

The Illustrated London News.

For all his life, Dulac maintained an interest in Oriental art - and his illustrations for "Arabian Nights' Entertainments"

capture the imagined colour and glamour of the East.

approach typical of prestige illustrated publications produced in the early decades of the 20th Century. Each card is

hand-finished and and the images are presented on Ivory card stock with an accompanying envelope. The rear of each

card carries information about Edmund Dulac, this wonderful suite and the profiled illustration - we have left the interior

of the cards blank so that you may write your own personal message.
